Parks Given Lifetime Emeritus Membership Status

The Farm Financial Standards Council has recognized Phyllis Parks, a civic leader and longtime member of the council. In honoring Ms. Parks, Brown cited her years of leadership at the organization including a term as FFSC president in 2011.

“It was under Phyllis’ guidance that the leadership had a weekend retreat that year with a focus on evaluating the mission of the Council and defining the direction of the Council as it entered its third decade. She has worked tirelessly for the good of the Council even after she and partner Joe Daughhettee retired from and sold their business.”

Parks was unable to attend the 2023 FFSC Annual Conference in Moline, Ill., so Council leadership traveled to Danville to make the presentation. “She was  totally surprised and that just added to the enjoyment of the occasion,” Brown said.

The Council is a nationwide organization focused on providing financial management guidance to agricultural producers. Membership includes accountants, academics, farmers, lenders, tax advisors, consultants and software companies.
