Brown Cited for Years of Service

Norman Brown, founder and principal at FBS Systems, Aledo, IL, receives a plaque marking his status as an Emeritus Lifetime Member of the Farm Financial Standards Council from Kathy Reinhardt, CPA, president of the organization. In making the presentation, Reinhardt noted Brown’s continual presence as a member of the Council and his active participation on the group’s technical committee for 30-plus years. She cited his role in authoring sections of the original Financial Guidelines for Agriculture and his continued involvement with keeping the Guidelines as a base for ag-related software developed by FBS Systems. The lifetime membership has been bestowed on a handful of original members of the Farm Financial Standards Task Force, later the Council, who have remained active with the organization since it was founded in 1989. The presentation was made at the Council’s annual conference which was held in Moline, IL the last week of July.
